At the Salon with Linda...
Linda, our groomer, is both a dog stylist and a magician- a person with the uncanny ability to transform the messy, unkempt little pooches that come through our doors into stunning works of art.
Her gentle nature with worried dogs and their owners quickly puts them at ease, and she meticulously brushes through their shaggy fur coats and shapes them up with the clippers and scissors before putting them in the warm, relaxing spa hydrobaths. After getting a thorough blow dry of their fur coats, the pooches then return to the table to be styled...each dog sculptured differently from the last, based on their breed type, owner's preferences, and Linda's eye for detail.
Here's some pics of little ones that Linda has styled...
- Scruffy! Evan's little puppy of 4 months. As Scruffy's still a puppy, Linda's recommended leaving his coat a little longer, whilst it's still soft and fluffy...and he's come out not so 'scruffy' at the end of it!

With his heart-warming eyes...

- This is Buddy! Shortly after being adopted by John and Suriah from a rescue home, Buddy came in for his make-over last week.

The young man all done!

The Main Plant Tank
Introducing the main guardians of our plant tank - the rasbora trilineatas. Also known as scissortail rasboras, their forked tail gives them a unique swimming style, with the tails making an opening and closing scissor like motion while swimming around!

Amongst the pink baby tears

The scissortails in a tight school, with a native Australian rainbowfish looking a tad lost...

More pics of the plant tank coming up soon!

Heart for Pets - A New Chapter

Hello Friends!
Most of you have known us for years as 'Purrfect Pets and Grooming', 'the yellow pet shop at Oakleigh', 'Rocky's pet shop'..and probably many other pet names (no pun intended)! Well, we're just finishing up with renovations at the moment and though some things have changed, Rocky is definately still around (yes, the same Rocky from when our shop was down at Eaton Mall! hooray!).
Besides introducing a new name and sporting a new colour, we've rearranged our little store a bit to help make your time with us as interesting as possible! Some of our latest additions in the store include:
- Science Diet's cat and dog food
- Fuzzyard - one of the most aesthetically designed range of dog and cat products (check out http://www.fuzzyard.com)
- Seachem - maker of the highest quality aquarium products that's available at the moment (they're at http://www.seachem.com/Products/Products.html). Eg. a teaspoon of Prime (water conditioner and ammonia remover) treats 200 l of water.
